Christmas Trains

I visited the Jackson Street Roundhouse last Saturday (12/9/2023) to visit the model railroaders there and check out the Christmas trains. Having heard there would be 400 to 600 people per day for Santa’s Train Shop, I wasn’t sure how badly I really wanted to be there. But it wasn’t as bad as that sounds. By the end of that day, 550 people had come through, but they’re not all there at once. People come, see Santa, look around a while, and leave. I took a short video of the Christmas trains running on the G Scale layout at the Roundhouse.

The other fun place to see Christmas trains is at the Twin City Model Railroad Museum. I’ve visited Night Trains a few times over the years. The YouTube video at the bottom of this page gives a nice overview of what Night Trains looks like: https://www.tcmrm.org/special-events/night-trains/.
